Meet Bek, the person behind the lens
Based in PERTH, LIVING BEHIND THE CAMERA SINCE 2009
I’m a Perth-based photographer with a focus on birds and wildlife, drawn to quiet moments, natural behaviour, and the details people usually miss. Photography is both a creative outlet and a way for me to stay connected to the world outside my own head.
I’m currently volunteering my photography with wildlife, conservation, and community organisations, offering visual content for education, awareness, and storytelling. While wildlife is my main focus, I’m open to other projects where thoughtful, respectful imagery can add value.
If you’re looking for honest documentation rather than staged perfection, we’ll probably get along.
FAQ

What do you photograph?
I focus on wildlife and birds, with a calm, low-impact approach. I also take on [occasional landscapes / conservation events / limited portraits] by request.
Do you sell prints?
Yes. Prints are available in in a range of mediums and sizes. If you’re unsure what will work for your space, I can help you choose sizing and finish.
Can I use your photos (social media / website / business)?
Personal sharing is fine with credit and no editing. For anything commercial (websites, marketing, fundraising, publications), please request a licence. I offer simple licensing options depending on how you’ll use the image.
Do you photograph with bait/calls/handling animals?
No staged disturbance. I don’t harass, flush, bait, or handle wildlife for a shot. I’m there to observe, not interfere.
Are you available for partnerships or fundraising projects?
Yes, selectively. I’m open to collaborations that align with conservation and animal welfare, including calendars, campaigns, and educational content. Tell me what you’re trying to achieve and your timeline.
What do you mean by “ethical wildlife photography”?
I prioritise the animal’s wellbeing over the image. That means keeping distance, avoiding disturbance, and not using practices that alter behaviour (like chasing, baiting, or stressing wildlife).
